About

What is healthGAMERS?

The healthGAMERS blog is a forum for people interested in Serious Games for Health.  Our goal is to educate the public about this innovative field while uniting players, researchers, developers and funders. We ultimately hope to expand the dissemination of health games and increase health game development opportunities.  Join in the discussion on healthGAMERS.com!

Want to be an author?

We want to present the public with multiple perspectives on the health games industry.  As a result, healthGAMERS wants you to write for us!  Contact the Editor (mlazarus[at]archimage[dot]com) if you are interested in filling one of these positions on our team:

  • Co-authors post an original article at least once a week and are the champions of healthGAMERS.  They must use the blog’s back-end interface to submit articles and incorporate SEO tags and titles.  Co-authors also sing the praises of healthGAMERS through social media outlets and recruit other content contributors.
  • Contributing authors post once a month to keep content fresh and lively on the site.  Contributing authors are encouraged to post using the blog’s back-end interface. Entries can be either an original article or a cross-post from their own blog or website.
  • Guest contributors post about health games at their leisure, either an original article or a cross-post from their own blog or website.  No previous blogging experience necessary, just great ideas and good writing.  If you are new to blogging, check out these guidelines on guest contributor etiquette from the experts at Problogger.

Want us to feature your health game or company?

We are constantly looking for new health game topics to discuss on the healthGAMERS blog.  If you are interested in being interviewed or have an article suggestion, please contact the Editor, Melanie M. Lazarus, MPH, at mlazarus[at]archimage[dot]com.
